Winter in the old city centre of The Hague is truly magical...
On Saturdays and Sundays, Willemsvaart offers open-boat tours. These short trips last about 50 minutes and take place between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Also unique are the tours to the “Royal Christmas Fair”, The Hague’s famous Christmas market.
19, 20 and 21 December 2025
From Friday 19 to Sunday 21 December, Willemsvaart operates special shuttle cruises between SnowFest The Hague (in Koningspark, between Prinsessegracht and Koekamp) and the Royal Christmas Fair on Lange Voorhout (departure point Hooikade, close to Lange Voorhout).

Celebrate New Year’s Eve from the water during a special cruise on a covered and heated salon boat.
We cruise towards The Hague and Delft, enjoying the fireworks from the water. Return to Leidschendam around 12:45 AM.
On board there is time for a drink and a small snack and the music warm-up already starts on the boat. So when you arrive in Scheveningen, you’re fully warmed up and ready for the dive.
After the dive, you can easily return to the city by tram or bus, or stay and enjoy Scheveningen a little longer.

On 1 January 2026, the famous Unox New Year’s Dive takes place in Scheveningen. Once again, you can travel there by boat.
Registration for the New Year’s Dive starts at 10:30 AM. Our boat departs at 10:00 AM from The Hague Central Station, sailing towards the coast.
We arrive around 10:45 AM at Haringkade, from where it is a short walk to the beach near Beelden aan Zee.
You will arrive well in time for registration, the beach warm-up and of course the New Year’s Dive itself. The dive takes place at 12:00 PM.
