Winter in The Hague

Winter in the old city centre of The Hague is truly magical...

On Saturdays and Sundays, Willemsvaart offers open-boat tours. These short trips last about 50 minutes and take place between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Also unique are the tours to the “Royal Christmas Fair”, The Hague’s famous Christmas market.

Royal Shuttle Cruises

19, 20 and 21 December 2025

From Friday 19 to Sunday 21 December, Willemsvaart operates special shuttle cruises between SnowFest The Hague (in Koningspark, between Prinsessegracht and Koekamp) and the Royal Christmas Fair on Lange Voorhout (departure point Hooikade, close to Lange Voorhout).

• First departure: 1:00 p.m.
• Last departure: 10:00 p.m.
• Departure point: Paxhaven, Bezuidenhoutseweg / Prinsessegracht
• Cruise duration: about 15 minutes
• Return trip: 15 minutes after arrival from Hooikade back to Paxhaven
• Price: € 2.00 per person
